And, I'm back! Last week I was on vacation in the Philadelphia Suburbs & Gettysburg. It was a great trip but I'm happy to be back to work.
This week's tech tip is about a site very similar to Kahoot! (a site we explored during in-service back in January). Quizizz.com is very similar in game-play as Kahoot! but has a few noticeable differences.
1. No longer is a projector needed to play! Students can now see the answer choices on their devices. (a projector is still helpful though)
2. Before you play the game, you can disable the time setting so that faster answers do not gain more points. Also, you can set questions as short as 5 seconds and as much as 5 minutes.
3. The interface for designing a Quizizz seems much more intuitive than Kahoot.
The biggest con is that Quizizz is newer than Kahoot and so their database of pre-made quizzes is MUCH more limited. I hope that this site will continue to grow.
Try it out next time with your students and let me know what you think!
