Last week at TRETC I had a teacher friend ask how she could make a table in line with text in Google Docs.
This teacher has gone paperless (yay!) and is converting her worksheets into Docs. She distributes a copy to each student and they type in the table (box) next to the question. Google does not let you put a table in line with text but rather defaults to the next line.
As you can see, since there are only 12 inches in a foot, we do not need a large table for the student to answer the question! Here is what we want it to look like:
Below you will find the YouTube tutorial I created for how to do this. The procedure also works in Word documents too!
Basically you "hack" your table to be a 2x1 and then hide the borders... sneaky!
