I hope everyone had a restful spring break! I went to the Philadelphia suburbs, to my parents house, and spent Easter with my family (although my husband had to stay for work and take care of the Greyhound!).
There is no official tech tip this week, because I am holding an in-service this morning for the teachers at KOSD. I am trying a flipped approach with Blendspace. Blendspace is a site where you can "blend" videos, sites, images, text, into one canvas. I wanted to try this so I can be more of a facilitator throughout the morning, instead of talking for an hour!
This Blendspace is all about G.A.F.E (Google Apps For Education). I'm focusing on Google Drive, the use of Docs for collaboration, and other Apps that can be used to enrich the classroom. You can view the canvas at this link:
Intro to G.A.F.E - shortened URL http://goo.gl/7DDyF5
Note, if you shorten a web address using goo.gl, you can view the amount of clicks and generate a custom QR code too!
Click "play" in the top left corner to scroll through the resources. You will have to be a KOSD teacher to see the Google Docs that I embedded.
In Blendspace, you also have to sign in to add comments (right hand side bar) or take the quizzes. Blendspace also gives students the option to give a thumbs up or down if they benefited from the resource.
