Today is St. Patrick's Day! What a coincidence that today's tech tip is #17. I was trying to tie in a lucky theme to my tip today. I was thinking about Google's "I'm feeling lucky" button on their search engine. It sometimes feels lucky to search online and find exactly what you are looking for.
That's what brought me to today's tech tip. I was going through some of my tech tool bookmarks and this was the perfect opportunity to feature instaGrok. Instagrok is a search engine that helps students, or anyone who is researching see the big picture. It automatically creates a word web for your search term that can be expanded, modified and contains links to websites. The site offers other features, but I am just going to focus on the search function.
Example: If I search "greyhound", I see a web with facts, a video and an image. In this search, it also references the bus! You can change the map by sliding the difficulty in the top left corner. You can delete irrelevant information and expand other important bubbles.
Try to use instaGrok sometime this week instead of your next Google Search.
